Barker Gotelee

At Barker Gotelee our priority is excellence. We provide a complete service to our clients, with an emphasis on personal contact and client care. High calibre people are therefore important to us. Our lawyers are encouraged to develop their professional skills and to make the most of their potential. We are authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to give in - house training on an accredited basis. We hold monthly courses, in addition to regular fee earner meetings at which various legal and professional topics are discussed.

We take one trainee each year, normally selected two years in advance. We encourage students to visit the firm during their final year at school, and during their time at university we place two or three for work experience during the summer. Candidates who are interested in summer placements are invited to write to the Practice Manager.

Secretarial and administrative staff work closely with our fee earning teams and although each has his or her expertise we work together as a team to support each other. We also employ growing numbers of paralegal staff and are keen to encourage our staff to develop.
