Your Farming & Agricultural Solicitors

For many years we have been noted nationally for the legal services that our agricultural solicitors provide to the commercial agricultural sector.

What makes us different is our unique access to the EU policymakers in Brussels. This relationship is built on many years of solving our clients’ problems, particularly those arising as a result of our agricultural solicitors dealing with the government of an EU Member State. The problem can involve legislation or policy or both.

Our access to Brussels frequently avoids formal court proceedings. Problem-solving involves us in detailed examination of existing or emerging EU policies, which may then open up new markets and business opportunities for our clients. Clients are able to steer, shape or structure their businesses accordingly.

The firm’s extensive range of agricultural interests extends to a consideration of many environmental problems (for example waste management) and how they impact on our clients’ businesses.

We retain good relations with Defra but this does not prevent our agricultural solicitors from forcibly arguing our clients’ interests and taking those arguments to the courts in the UK and the European Court of Justice.

We provide legal advice to FIB which advises commercial businesses and undertakings, agricultural businesses and statutory bodies, such as the Welsh Assembly and the Agricultural and Horticulture Development Board on issues concerning EU policy. FIB is chaired by a member of our agricultural solicitors team.

From advice on the restructure of your agricultural business to advice on the effects of EU legislation and policy on your commercial interests, our team of agricultural solicitors, based in Martlesham Heath, Ipswich, are on hand for clients across East Anglia and nationally.
