Mediation

Mediation with one of our experienced mediators can help you take back control of your life following separation.

mediation

When a relationship ends, it can leave you feeling as though your life is beyond your control. It can often seem as if other people are making all the decisions, and potentially forcing you to go in an unwanted direction.

This can worsen when the court gets involved, and decisions are made by a judge.

When discussing important issues with your former spouse or partner, our mediator can help you take control of your life. Choosing mediation can also help keep costs down by avoiding going to court.

A mediator will meet with you both and discuss the issues that matter to you so you can make choices for your future. If you are trying to decide what is best for your children after separation, our mediator can talk to your children about their views (children aged 10 and above).

If you and your former partner or spouse do not want to meet, we can arrange mediation in separate rooms.

Separation can cause changes in household circumstances, causing problems for some couples. Our Information Hub offers useful contact details for other advice and information services.
