Stephanie Conlon is Barker Gotelee’s school appeals specialist. She deals with appeals against the refusal of school places locally and nationally, in both primary and secondary schools. Stephanie also deals with the refusal of grammar school places.
Stephanie offers parents a four tier service:-
- Advice
- Preparation and compilation of statements and evidence
- Representation at the appeal hearing
- Appeals to the ombudsman
Having had to appeal for a reception school place for one of her own children, Stephanie is totally aware of the stress and heartache involved in going through the appeals process. It is this understanding and caring attitude that makes Stephanie the ideal person to talk to during such a difficult time.
Recent cases:
A parent, who had already attended two unsuccessful appeals for a High School place for his child, recently sought advice from Stephanie to prepare for his third appeal! After his consultation and armed with the correct information this parent attended the third hearing and won.
Stephanie says:-
‘Many parents simply say to the appeals panel ‘It’s not fair’. This approach will not work. I give parents comprehensive advice and help them build their case in a detailed way to ensure that they know the proper basis upon which to make their application and have the evidence to back up what they are saying’.
Stephanie is passionate about helping parents achieve their goal of a place for their child at the school of their choice.
Clients say:-
‘I would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ for your help regarding being able to get my son into Kesgrave High School…..with all your help and advice we were successful in getting him into the school which is great…’
