The amount paid in inheritance tax continues to increase

Recently published data shows that HMRC collected £3.4 billion in inheritance tax in the 2013-14 tax year – an increase of £300 million on the 2012-2013 tax year.

This is getting closer to the peak in 2007-2008 of £3.8 billion.
