Barker Gotelee Solicitors Ipswich – Help for families of missing people
‘From April 2014, it will become easier for the family of someone who is missing, presumed dead, to deal with his or her financial affairs.
Currently, nothing can be done until someone is officially presumed dead, which can take several years. The new laws – to take effect next year – will introduce temporary measures so that the missing person’s affairs can be looked after by a guardian in the meantime.’
