Environment Agency publishes State of the Environment Report


Early last week the Environment Agency published its State of the Environment Report: Health, People and Environment.

Emma Howard Boyd, Chair of the Environment Agency, states that air pollution continues to be the biggest single threat to human health in the UK, affecting tens of thousands of people across the nation. She goes on to confirm that they ambitions set out in the 25 Year Environment Plan including principles of biodiversity net gain and natural capital continue to drive improvements to the environment and health through the choices government, businesses and individuals can make. As well as air quality, the report covers a wide variety of issues including noise, chemicals, environmental inequalities and health, flooding and climate change.
