Fly tipping prosecution

A successful prosecution by the Environment Agency has led to two men being convicted of fly tipping. Each man received a prison sentence of 12 and 13 months respectively as well as being required to pay back around £240,000 between them. A third man who was also involved was fined £10,000,  and given a suspended sentence and night curfew.

The men were operating at waste sites in London, Essex and Hertfordshire and were reported as having earned more than £700,000 from their illegal operations.
