New movers & shakers join Barker Gotelee Solicitors, Ipswich

Barker Gotelee has expanded the team with three recent new additions. Lindsey Sharples has just joined the Private Client department. Having trained in Norwich from 2005–2007, Lindsey has worked as a solicitor and then associate in the Private Client team at a solicitors since then.  A student member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Lindsey specialises in Wills, administration of estates, Court of Protection work, Powers of Attorney, tax and trusts. Says Lindsey Sharples, “I am very excited to have joined the Private Client team at Barker Gotelee who already has such a great reputation for providing high quality advice to a range of clients. I pride myself on being very approachable and personable and I am hopeful of being able to complement the existing team and the firm and build on their success.”

Barker Gotelee has also expanded its Company Commercial team with the appointment of a new associate solicitor, Elaine Mann. Elaine specialises in providing businesses and investors with legal advice on all aspects of the structure and transactions they are involved in. Elaine has experience in buying and selling companies and assets, setting up new companies and in preparing the necessary agreements and documentation to protect business owners and investors investing into businesses. Elaine will also be working alongside John Bradshaw to strengthen Barker Gotelee’s Insolvency and Business Recovery team, providing advice and assistance to insolvency practitioners and businesses in financial difficulties. Says Elaine, “I am looking forward to working with the team to expand and develop the services Barker Gotelee can offer to its business clients. Barker Gotelee is an expanding well respected firm, but is not so large that the personal touch is lost.”

 

Lyndsey Banthorpe has joined the Commercial Property department, working as a paralegal. Lyndsey graduated from the University of Southampton in 2013. Lyndsey will be studying the Legal Practice Course (LPC) with combined Masters in Law at the University of London, and will be completing her training contract with Barker Gotelee on completion of her LPC. Says Lyndsey Banthorpe, “I am delighted to be back in my home town and training with such a reputable firm.”
