According to the Office of National Statistics, an estimated 160,000 people inherited at least £125,000 over a two-year period leading up to 2010.

Inheriting is a time to make or review your Will and to consider tax and estate planning. In particular, there are some very good tax planning opportunities available if you inherit, but there is a strict time limit of two years from the date that relative or friend died in which to carry out that planning.
