Sue Wardropper


Sue Wardropper  who joined the firm in September 2023 is a Senior Associate Solicitor  and Head of the Family Department.

Sue qualified in 2004 and has 30 years’ experience in family law. Sue has mainly been based in Suffolk during this period and as such has both excellent local knowledge and a good working relationship with other local professionals including accountants, pension experts and financial advisers.

Sue is able to assist on all aspects of private family law including divorce, financial remedies, children disputes, pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation disputes.

Sue’s approach is always to listen to her clients and provide clear advice as well as a practical solution based on their needs. Sue is committed to a conciliatory and pragmatic approach when advising her clients and where possible she will try to settle matters out of court but she is skilled in advocacy for those cases where it is not possible to agree a settlement.

Sue has an empathic approach, and her focus is to support her clients during what is often an extremely difficult time.

Sue has also completed her training as a collaborative lawyer. This specialism helps Sue to promote and encourage an amicable approach to divorce and separation, which enables the parties and their lawyers to work together.  She uses the skills used in this training in other aspects of her practise.

Sue is a member of Resolution which is a national organisation of professionals who are committed to a non – confrontational and constructive resolution of disputes.
