The Road Ahead – Guidance to court procedures from the Family Division
As the Family Court slowly eases out of lockdown along with the rest of the country, we are now facing a new look to court procedures. The Family Court is entering a hybrid world where some hearings will continue to be heard, remotely, others will be physical and some may be a mixture. The President of the Family Division Sir Andrew McFarlane has today provided what he calls The Road Ahead. This is a comprehensive document explaining how the Family Court is going to look and operate for what is likely to be the remainder of 2020 if not continuing into the Spring of 2021.
The Road Ahead statement can be accessed here and is essential reading for anyone who is currently involved in family court proceedings or is considering making an application in the near future.
