Increase in claims brought against will executors

Nick Palmer

According to statistics released by the High Court, the number of claims brought against will executors for mis-administration has increased more than threefold from 107 in 2012 to 368 during 2013.

The nature of the claims varies from theft to fraud.

In your will, you choose who administers your estate after you have died. These figures show how important it is to choose the right people to do this, for the benefit of those who inherit under your will.
