Lindsey Ottywill

Lindsey Ottywill is a Partner in the Private Client Team at Barker Gotelee, having joined the firm as a Solicitor in 2013. Lindsey has strong local ties. Having studied Law at the University of East Anglia, she qualified as a solicitor in 2007, her training and post qualification experience being gained at a Norfolk-based firm from 2005 onwards.

Lindsey specialises in the following:-

• Wills, succession and asset protection planning
• Care fees planning
• Inheritance Tax planning
• Court of Protection work including Deputyship applications and ongoing administration of Deputyships
• Powers of Attorney
• Creation and administration of trusts
• Elderly clients
• Probate

Lindsey is a fully qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners having completed the qualified practitioner route to full membership in December 2014.  Lindsey is also a qualified CRUSE bereavement counsellor (non practising) and has taken the pledge to become a Dignity Champion.

Lindsey is often praised for her approachability and ability to explain legal matters in “plain English”.  The Legal 500 2012 reported that Lindsey is “excellent at explaining procedures”.
