Barker Gotelee ranks highly once again in the Chambers and Partners Guide to UK Solicitors
Solicitors at Barker Gotelee are delighted to see their hard work and dedication to clients recognised once again with rankings in the 2018 Chambers and Partners Guide. The highly respected annual guide, released yesterday, ranks both lawyers and firms based on the research of more than 170 full-time editors and researchers who talk to lawyers and clients all the year round, conducting in-depth telephone interviews to establish which firms have the expertise and quality to appear within the rankings.
In the Agriculture and Rural Affairs section, Barker Gotelee picked up top band rankings both as a department and for partners Andrew Nicholson and Toby Pound, while partner John Bradshaw ranked in the top band for Restructuring and Insolvency, and Barker Gotelee as a firm also ranked for Corporate SME & Owner Managed Businesses.
In Agriculture and Rural Affairs, ‘notable practitioners‘ Andrew Nicholson and Toby Pound were featured, with sources saying: “I’ve got a lot of time for Andrew. He’s good, very sensible, gets the deal done and doesn’t get bogged down in the details,” and of Toby Pound, “He’s a good lawyer, well respected and good to deal with“.
Within the Restructuring and Insolvency section, Band 1 lawyer John Bradshaw is featured for his ‘many years of experience specialising in insolvency law’. A source is quoted as saying: ” He knows his stuff, he reacts quickly and he understands the needs of insolvency practitioners.”
Barker Gotelee also ranks for Corporate/small to medium and manager owned businesses, ‘with a particular focus on the transport and agribusiness industries.’ According to Chambers and Partners, Barker Gotelee has ‘significant expertise in advising on farm diversification matters involving transport, manufacturing and renewable energy‘.
